VACANCY * PERMANENT FULL-TIME MANAGER Outpatient Mental Health Clinic, Nipissing Detoxification and Substance Abuse Program & Assertive Community Treatment Teams NBRHC – North Bay, King Street Campus * Working collaboratively with the Director, Mental Health & Addictions and the clinical teams, the Manager is responsible for the overall management and operations of the services at the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic, Nipissing Detoxification and Substance Abuse Program and the Assertive Community Treatment Teams. The manager leads and collaborates with the inter-professional teams to achieve operational and patient-centred care objectives within the services. The role includes creating and maintaining a supportive environment for patients, families and staff; providing leadership; facilitating staff and team development; including performance management; managing budgets and resources; and initiating and monitoring quality improvement and safety initiatives. In addition the Manager will be a mentor, a motivator, and an advocate for the Services, and play a key role in shaping their future direction. The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications: Relevant clinical degree at the Baccalaureate or Masters level Current membership with a regulated professional college preferred Minimum of three (3) years of recent management or advanced practice experience/knowledge, preferably in a community setting Demonstrated clinical experience working with adults experiencing substance misuse and/or mental illness Demonstrated excellence in clinical-reasoning, critical thinking skills, assessment, documentation, intervention and care planning skills Superior leadership, communication, team building and creative problem solving skills Demonstrated excellence in human resource management skills including recruitment, retention, supervision and motivation of staff Demonstrated excellence in budgeting and financial management skills Experience with change management and innovation Demonstrated coaching and empowering style of management Knowledge of legislation affecting human resources (i.e. human rights, employment standards, Occupational Health & Safety) Knowledge of consent and capacity issues and legislation involving this population (e.g. Public Guardian Trustee, Substitute Decision Maker Act, Health Care Consent Act; Mental Health Act; PHIPA) preferred Familiarity with collective agreements/labour relations, and scheduling Demonstrated ability to support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events and promotion of quality in our organization Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset * Criminal Reference Check including the Vulnerable Sector Check: recent within three (3) months is a requirement * For an opportunity to be part of our exciting future, please visit our webside to submit your resume and covering letter quoting File NU MH-20-0102- Manager Job Type: Full-time
