The Shire covers an area of 430 square kilometres with the southern boundary of the Shire being the Yarra River, and the North-Eastern boundary extending to the Kinglake Ranges. About the Role A unique opportunity to join a small dynamic team, which is responsible for the planning and delivery of sports, recreation, aquatic, trails and playspaces throughout the Nillumbik Shire Council. This position will be responsible for liaising with recreation and sporting groups to build strong relationships and ensure groups are robust, well-governed and viable. Duties Deliver club development initiatives on behalf of Council Ensure clubs develop into robust, self-sufficient and sustainable entities Routinely audit Council's Recreation and Leisure facilities Assist in the formation of grants and other funding opportunities Skills and experience Demonstrated ability to build and foster strong relationships with external organisations Demonstrated ability to enable community groups to be self-sufficient resilient and sustainable Strong written and verbal communication skills How to apply Read the Position Description To obtain any additional information regarding this position please contact Shannon Maynard, Coordinator Recreation and Leisure on 9433 3130 for a confidential discussion.
