JOB DESCRIPTION Under the direction of the Marketing Manager the job-holder is expected to lead on, and work with other stakeholders both in and out of the school to ensure the effective rental of the school’s facilities to external providers and agencies. In addition the job-holder would manage large scale events such as conferences. The role would suit a friendly but decisive self starter, who thrives in complex problem thinking environments and tasks. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage external booking rentals across the school liaising with teams such as facilities, finance and security Working with our marketing team, grow event space rental with brochure creation, website management, and campus tours Build relationships with preferred suppliers from AV partners, print houses to catering suppliers Assist clients with creative direction for their event Manage event budgets and contracts This is a varied role from sports hall and theatre rentals, to large conferences and events. There is plenty of scope to work on in-school events like the school musical or the annual family festival Involvement in whole school events and activities as required. A TYPICAL DAY After ensuring that the Sports Hall is tidy and clear following last night’s booking by an external provider I am meeting a new client who is keen to rent our school for their conference in the holidays. We spend time looking at spaces and put together a plan to suit their theme and budget. The conference is vast and needs to cater for 100 people across 3 days and I will need to meet with catering teams, consider audio/visual needs as well hire specific furniture that is 17 February 2020 required. In the afternoon I meet with Marketing Manager and we discuss the new brochure that we will host on our website to allow potential clients to see how our spaces look before making an inquiry. I have a new provider using the Auditorium for a Drama class at 5pm and greet them to ensure they feel welcome. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Proven ability to show initiative Quick thinking, flexible in problem solving Self motivated and self directed A genuine team player and collaborator Measured and calm manner when dealing with multiple stakeholders Flexible hours to accommodate weekend and evening events Events or marketing experience Relevant diploma or equivalent Nexus International School (Singapore) is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our children and families.
