We are looking for a determined Duty Manager who will provide support to our operations in Southampton unit and to ensure that all legislative issues concerning Health, Safety, Driving and CAA requirements, Welfare at Work, Quality, Food Safety and Management of environment will be integrated into the operational practices of the company. Ideal candidates must provide excellent standards of service at all times to maximise client enjoyment of products and to ensure the site and its assets are safe and secure at all times. Main aim of the role is to ensure compliance to planned plant and equipment service and maintenance schedules. Candidates must be flexible and able to work a given shift pattern. Missions: Ensure that all employees, services and suppliers comply with Safety, Quality, Food Safety, Security and Environment requirements. Carry out all duties and be responsible for the execution of all compliance requirements. Responsible for unit operations incorporating all key processes; Wash & Equipment pack, Goods in & Warehouse, Bar & Kits, & Tray set, Production, Transport & Despatch/Duty Office. Carry out Duty manager role as per the planned roster to ensure all operational processes within the unit are effectively performance managed and flights packed, sealed and loaded as per the flights schedule/unit production plan/customer specifications. Report writing for major and minor incidents, accidents and adhere to escalation process as per company protocol. Resource planning, allocation, cross training/utilisation between all processes. Ensure all customer requirements, updates, ad hoc requests, substitutions, flight delays, a/c changes, cancellations, run outs information is completed on time, logged and reported on Operational Dashboard at the end of each shift. Liaison with customers station office for communicating changes, updates, issues in a timely manner in conjunction with internal customer service support team. Take proactive measures to ensure zero wastage, zero overtime levels are achieved in all processes by focusing productivity and efficiency improvements. Be responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment and materials. Carry out daily security searches as per the security policy. Ensure monthly, weekly, daily stock takes are completed on time and where required submitted to the customer as per the agreed schedule. Ensure staff hours exceptions are managed in a timely manner, holidays allocated in line with volume forecast, sickness management in line with company policy. Ensure all work areas, fridges are kept tidy, clean and stock is rotated correctly with clear date marking. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and external agencies to provide a seem less service. Work with internal stakeholders to implement the company's policies, procedures and goals. Manage / Oversee the Unit Operational Team. Promote, drive and implement continuous improvement of lean working principles and processes. Productivity target setting and exceeding Unit budgeted targets. Be analytical and business minded to compile effective business plans and solutions. Act in a democratic style, whilst prioritising workload to ensure duties are carried out in a timely manner. Work to KPI's and ensuring reporting requirements are fulfilled and targets are achieved / exceeded. Ensure staff are wearing correct and clean uniform. Work on own initiative working at pace and with a high level of accuracy. Lead and Champion new customer start up's, projects, empowerment and performance recognition (EOM). Performance manage poor performers, carry out through investigations, Disciplinary hearing as per company policy and guidance from HR. Recruit, develop and retains staff as per business requirements. Act as an ambassador for Newrest at all times. Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Unit Manager. Profile: Minimum 2+ years of experience management and in a catering environment. Health and Safety, knowledge and proven application of. Proven experience and ability to manage people, processes, and technology and manage. operational, organisational and financial elements. Strategic thinker with Dynamic approach and strong analytical skills. Good business acumen, including written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills. Demonstrated success managing new initiatives while meeting operating and budgetary requirements.
