We will collaborate with customers todevelop, design and deliver national technology programmes which aim to provideinnovation and technology advancement to our network, which in turn will makeus more efficient and effective. The Network Rail Telecom (NRT) team is responsible for operating all ofNetwork Rail’s telecoms assets and networks. This responsibility includesmanaging asset life cycles as well as the development, delivery and support offirst-class telecommunication networks and services. In simple terms, NRTtransports data between A and B enabling Network Rail to run operationally bothon the railway (signalling, customer information systems, CCTV cameras etc.)and as a business (desk phones, mobile devices, data connections etc.). NRT is also playing a key role in the realisation of Network Rail’s digitalrailway aspiration which requires huge amounts of data managed securely towork. Brief Description We arelooking for an enthusiastic individual with previous experience in Telecomsand/or Project Management who will be able to lead projects through variousstages of the life cycle providing a professional, consistent and effectiveservice. Theprojects will need to be delivered in a safe & environmentally responsiblemanner to time, cost and quality, in accordance with the Guide to RailwayInvestment Projects (GRIP), applicable Network Rail company standards, currentlegislation and procedures including HMRI guidance where appropriate. About the role (External) Key Accountabilities Manage tactical change and risks within the project life cycle for allocated schemes Assist or lead in the provision of a safe working environment in the execution of managed work Manage the production of project management plans Manage project finances within agreed targets – with day to day focus on Cost of Work Done, Forecast and AFC Deliver regular progress reports on change projects, including relevant risks and issues Promote and monitor the use of efficiency improvement methods Disseminate lessons learnt Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications Essential Successful relevant experience including project management. Educated to HNC/HND or similar standard. Good interpersonal and communication skills Project safety management experience Knowledge of Oracle Projects Knowledge of safety, quality and environmental procedures (CDM Regulations 2015) Knowledge of commercial and financial procedures. Desirable Membership (or working towards membership) of the Association for Project Management or other professional body. A degree or equivalent. Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
