Apprenticeship Opportunity: The Craft of Electronic Security Systems Apprenticeship Opportunity Netwatch currently have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice to join our Technical Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for you if you would like to start a successful career and gain valuable experience in the Security industry. The successful Apprentice will gain extensive experience working closely with our Technical Operations Engineers (Installation and Service). The apprenticeship is governed by SOLAS and is standards based. The overall duration is 4 years provided all phases are successfully completed. It consists of 7 phases: 3 off-the-job and 4 on-the-job. Off the job training is classroom based (Locations will be confirmed by SOLAS nearer to this block) and on the job is with Netwatch. On successful completion of the programme the learner is awarded a level 6 Advanced Certificate in Craft- Electronic Security Systems. The successful apprentice will gain experience in: Intruder Alarms, CCTV (Closed Circuit Television), Fire Alarms, Access Control, Electrical and Electronic Systems and Customer Communications Completion and updating of job related documentation Relevant basic IT skills appropriate to the trade Awareness of Health & Safety requirements for the industry The following criteria is required for this role: 16 years of age or over Minimum Grade D in five subjects in Junior Certificate, or, The successful completion of an approved Pre-Apprenticeship course, or, Three years’ work experience gained over sixteen years of age in a relevant designated industrial activity as SOLAS shall deem acceptable. The working pattern while with the employer is: 8:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Thursday, 8.00am – 3.00pm Friday.
