Business Unit / VP Mexico Position to which he reports HSE Environmental Manager Objective This position will be in charge of collaborating in the integration and implementation of the Energy Management System and strategies for the organization as well as ensuring environmental legal compliance and customer requirements at every plant of the Mexico Business Unit related to Energy consumption and generation. Main responsibilities Provide service to identify opportunities and workable solutions to reduce utility cost, consumption and demand. Provide comprehensive demand-side management energy reduction service to support the mission and the ongoing energy program. Support new project development to ensure that energy efficiency measures are incorporated into new construction, repair and renovation projects. Provide Economic analysis as needed, to help justify founding and CAPEX investment to be addressed in any project or improvement required. To support implementation of Energy Management Controls System (EMCS). Implementation of energy consumption and generation control protocols, procedures and programs. Implementation of both technical and administrative controls to ensure and exceed regulatory requirements and to align to best international practices. Integration and execution of both monitoring and measurement programs and protocols using both internal and external resources. Continual assessment of regulatory requirements related to Energy. Continual search and development of best available energy efficiency practices and technology. Development, implementation and surveillance of ISO 50000 to ensure 100% compliance for Best in Class performance regarding Environmental aspects of Mexico operation. Be part of Internal Auditors Program Profile requirements Education Bachelor level in Energy Engineering, Sustainability Sciences or a bachelor level in engineering of other fields of physical science and a master degree or other specialized education on Energy Efficiency. Languages English Proficiency Experience At least 4 years of work experience in charge of energy efficiency program integration and execution for heavy industry manufacturing facilities including Local, State and Federal Legal compliance in Mexico, environmental management systems, energy management systems (ISO 50001). Experience in Project Managements, Development and Facilitation. Technical skills Thorough knowledge of ISO 50001:2011 energy management system standard. Knowledge of monitoring, sampling and testing methods related to air, water and ground contamination Soft skills Knowledge on utility rates/tariff structures.
