Nelson River Construction is currently hiring motivated employees in our Asphalt Paving Division. The successful candidates must be willing to work out of town and at times in a camp environment, for extended periods at a time. Responsibilities: · Must be at minimum 18 years of age; · Valid drivers’ license, and submit a current drivers' abstract; · Work in an outdoor setting which includes inclement weather, heat and humidity and exposure to dust and asphalt; · Willing to work out of town in remote locations; · Must be able to work overtime and some weekends; · Ability to use tools and equipment required to perform the work (e.g. hand and power tools, etc.); · Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis; · Must have a strong work ethic, ensuring commitment to the team and the company; · Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed; · Punctual and available to work full time; · Familiar with construction methods, tools and materials would be an asset; · Safety conscious.
