Your new role… Natural Forces is seeking a candidate for the position of Development & Partnership Manager to assist its development team on a number of renewable energy projects across Ireland. This is a full-time position. This is a varied role with the opportunity for an individual to make a difference in our energy future for communities. This role will be an essential element in ensuring that communities are engaged in the energy transition and have the opportunity to benefit from it. The responsibilities of the Development & Partnership Manager will vary based on the projects themselves however, the general tasks they will undertake are related to the development of renewable energy projects- aiding with stakeholder consultations, managing communications & marketing, assisting the project team, technical report writing and market analysis. An ideal candidate would have a passion for renewable energy, sustainability and building local partnerships. Key Tasks / Duties: Act as the primary communication and stakeholder manager Coordinate and create public engagement and education activities Manage public relations Drafting and delivery of public consultation material Managing and creating project websites Stakeholder management including landowners, community groups, local councillors, planners, third party consultants and specialists, utilities, roads services and other public bodies Management of Community benefit assessments Negotiation with stakeholders and project counterparties Responsible for risk management on each project Input to Regulatory lobbying Manage the budget for relevant development projects Understand and have input to cash flow projections Create and manage project databases and communications Assist with market research, stakeholder research, technical reporting and other written works required such as letters, notices, reporting etc. Assist with field work Essential Criteria: Must have a valid driver’s licence Must be willing to travel to project sites when required Must be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously Must have an understanding of community values Previous experience in building long term relationships with communities is an advantage Understanding of Co-Op structures and an advantage A degree or equivalent qualification in the area such Business, Engineering, Project Management, Environmental Science, Agricultural studies, Sustainability or similar is an advantage Competencies: Must possess excellent written communication skills Must be very detail oriented – attention to detail will be key Must be self-motivated and be able to operate and work independently with minimal supervision Must be professional in the work setting Experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS is a benefit Must have proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite Additional Requirements: The job requires a considerable degree of commitment, flexibility and adaptability on the part of the job holders to meet quality standards and work deadlines.
