The various divisions of the company allow National OnDemand to provide full turnkey solutions to all customers. Job purpose The Human Resource Specialist will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organizations human resource department. This position will be at our Headquarters in Burlington, NC Duties and responsibilities Assist in onboarding new hires. Assist in the offboarding process. Help with submitting background checks. Responsible for entering data in workforce management tool Respond to internal and external requests for help in a timely and professional manner Assist with reconciling and auditing payroll records. Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation. Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately. Provides clerical support to the HR department. Assist with payroll functions including auditing records, answering employee questions, and fixing processing errors. Assists with new hire orientation. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications 1+ years in a support role within an HR Department High School Diploma or Equivalent required Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, workforce management system, and similar computer applications. Prior related office experience preferred. Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm with flexibility to work overtime as needed.
