The National Library of Scotland is seeking a dynamic, motivated and experienced individual to lead and manage the provision of our financial accounting services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to further develop their career and gain experience across the whole range of an organisation’s financial activities. The Financial Accountant has responsibility for the consistent delivery of high quality financial ledger services through the management of staff, ledger systems and processes to ensure the provision of accurate and timely financial information to aid the Library’s decision making processes and to manage its resources. The role is crucial to delivering effective financial control throughout the Library and in managing the risks associated with possible failure of control. This is a key position requiring an experienced individual with a broad range of technical knowledge and skills. The post-holder will combine their technical knowledge with excellent problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
