Title: VxFlex OS Specialist Location: Bucharest Romania (100% Onsite) Assignment Duration: 3 Months Description: Senior IS The Senior Implementation Specialist (Senior IS) requires solid working knowledge of the required VxFlex OS products deployed and comprehensive knowledge of the operations in use for VxFlex OS. Basic application platform knowledge is desirable, but not mandatory. The Senior IS has an average of 4 to 7 years of VxFlex OS experience. Delivery Skills and Recommendations Provide the customer with day-to-day operational tasks, administration activities, and guidance on the management and usage of the VxFlex OS environment based on standard procedures. Review the customer's operational business objectives and technical requirements for the VxFlex OS environment to bring efficiency in VxFlex OS processes. Meet with the customer to ensure that the environment and operational implementation requirements (hardware, software, and infrastructure) are met by the customer, and provides the customer with a list of required or beneficial updates. Review the VxFlex OS testing requirements with the customer-assigned resources and reviews the customer-specific testing requirements. Manage VxFlex OS operational requirements based on EMC standard procedures, and meet the customer-directed and agreed-upon standards. Provide the customer with the applicable documentation. Perform support and changes in accordance with EMC and customer change management policies. Provide analysis of VxFlex OS environment management and best practice knowledge transfer. Recommend changes to procedures that will result in operational optimization of the VxFlex OS environment. EMC services personnel should have the following skills and be familiar with the technologies listed below in order to deliver this service: Strong consultative skills Cross-functional skills Proficiency in VxFlex OS hardware and software feature configuration. Strong scale-out NAS technology/industry knowledge. Strong network knowledge including Ethernet and IP skills. Knowledge of job associated documentation and how it relates to the residency offering. Knowledge of delivery skill sets related to EMC training requirements. A listing of current training is available on the EMC Education Services web page at .
