About the job The Production Merchandiser is ensuring that an on-time critical path is followed throughout production and shipment, by working with the garment technology, fabric technology, product technician and buying teams as well as the suppliers, providing the necessary information to all related parties. About the team There is a great team of people (local and international) that you will collaborate with in this role, who all share your ambition and help you achieve your goals. You will report to the sourcing director and team up with colleagues in product development, buying, merchandising, quality and technique, in order to decide how to achieve maximum production efficiency together with the suppliers. In this role, you will: Be responsible of the quality, delivery time and the required standards for all the orders delivered from the factories Negotiate the best delivery dates in line with the buying calendar Proactively manage order progress using the critical path, visit the factories, fabric mills, trims suppliers, as well as identify and flag any production issues well in advance to take correct action on time Organize all test reports and get them approved by related departments Ensure all samples are provided and approvals are made on planned critical dates, and ensure that all samples are correct before shipment is made Keep an organized record of approvals to ensure that any order can be traced back transparently Work closely with the production technician team to make sure the right goods are inspected and shipped on time Produce detailed order status reports and review agreed dates, monitor progress with team members and report back to the sourcing director Monitor supplier capacity on a monthly basis and flag any risks to the right parties Negotiate discounts, delay and air freight penalties where needed to ensure on time delivery Update and follow up claim notes with the buying team and the suppliers to ensure that the claims are approved by suppliers before processing to finance Manage supplier performance through effective monitoring, training and communication Keep in close contact with nominated trim and label sources to achieve on-time deliveries Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or textile engineering 2-4 years hands-on production experience in manufacturing or sourcing offices across various product types including knit, jersey & woven Strong organizing, problem solving and follow up skills Excellent negotiation and communication skills Enthusiastic with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team Confident and dynamic Fluent in Turkish and English Proficiency in MS Office Ability to travel abroad and domestically Very strong customer service orientation Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and ability to multi-task and quickly adapt to new priorities as needed
