Fixed term part time for 12 months (with possibility of permanency) 19 hours per week Based at Jandakot Head Office and access to flexible working hours arrangement between Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5.00pm, this role will require a motivated self-starter who is able to set the volunteering program from scratch up and run it. Responsibilities Include: Support the development and implementation of a volunteer strategy specific to organisation’s approach to volunteers Responsibility of managing and coordinating all aspect of the Volunteer Program Promoting the value of volunteering through media, networking and volunteer resource centres Establish new and build on existing networks with schools/universities/Colleges etc. relative to work experience program opportunities Organise and undertake off-site recruitment drives/promotions as required Recruitment, selection, appointment and performance management of volunteers Coordinate an induction and training program Respond to all telephone and electronic communications and enquiries from prospective volunteers Identify roles for volunteers and develop role descriptions Engaging with volunteers, appropriately matching them to the appropriate volunteer program or individual participant Create and maintain database and personal information management Coordinate and facilitate special projects or group tasks assigned to volunteers Creation of rosters for volunteers in accordance with requirements Act as a key contact for volunteers, ensuring they are adhering to organisation’s policies and procedures Promoting organisation brand and activities at all times Relevant Skills Include: A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Welfare, Community Services, Human Resources or equivalent, along with experience working with volunteers and/or staff engagement Demonstrable skills and experience in coordinating volunteers, including the recruitment, training and support of volunteers Background in the development and implementation of volunteer strategy and practices Experience in volunteering management systems is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to manage compliance systems, including police check systems, etc. Proven ability to deliver engaging events with strong organisational and planning skills Highly developed communication and conflict management skills Ability to work independently and exercise good judgement Sound computer skills and experience in Microsoft Office suite and databases Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills The ability to respond to changing circumstances in a flexible and adaptable way Self driven individual who can delivery projects with passion and energy Excellent problem solving & solution creation skills Ability to work within tight time frames and across multiple tasks/projects Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills Applications Closing 14 February 2020 Mosaic embraces diversity and encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Straight Island candidates
