Reporting to the Director of Information Security, the Information Security Analyst will be tasked with leading security investigations, coordinating breach response, and maintaining the security monitoring infrastructure. A qualified candidate will have experience with the assessment, implementation, management and documentation of a broad set of information security technologies and processes within on premise, hosted and cloud environments. This candidate will work with internal Information Technology and DevOps. What you’ll be doing: Analyze threat information from multiple sources, disciplines, and agencies across the Intelligence Community. Synthesize and place intelligence information in context; draw insight about the possible implications. Analyze collected information to identify vulnerabilities and potential for exploitation. Identify and assess the capabilities and activities of cyber criminals or foreign intelligence entities; produce findings to help initialize or support law enforcement and counterintelligence investigations or activities. Respond to crisis or urgent situations within the pertinent domain to mitigate immediate and potential threats. Use mitigation, preparedness, and response and recovery approaches, as needed, to maximize survival of life, preservation of property, and information security. Investigate and analyze all relevant response activities. Support, maintain and enhance IDS/IPS and other security monitoring capabilities Assist IT in system and network hardening, malware remediation, and configuration auditing of network and operating systems Conduct or assist in internal penetration testing What we’re looking for: 1-3 years’ experience working with hardware, software, and networking technologies associates with securing information assets (i.e.: xyz) Experience in the implementation and management of both offensive and defensive security technologies Deep technical understanding of network, systems, application and cloud security, specifically with AWS. Excellent technical communication and analytical skills. Excellent time management and organization skills with an aptitude towards creative problem solving. Proven ability to develop successful partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Established track record of competency in the field of information security Highly developed oral and written communication skills; strong presentation skills. Working knowledge and experience in compliance/remediation efforts of relevant domestic and international security standards and best practices such as PII, PCI DSS, ISO 27001/2, SSAE 16, SOX and AML.
