Concurrently, the company is expanding its research efforts and exploring collaborations with partners to discover and bring treatments to market for unmet medical needs including orphan diseases. The MBA/Graduate Intern (Marketing) is responsible for executing specific programs and project work to help promote RADICAVA® (edaravone) to physicians, advocacy organizations, and other stakeholders. This position will have significant involvement with other functional areas such as sales, medical, market access and public relations at Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Canada, as well as interaction with colleagues at MTPA, Mitsubishi Tanabe America Headquarters in Jersey City, New Jersey. This position is a summer internship that will last approximately 6 months. This position offers a great opportunity for individuals interested in building experience in commercialization for rare disease and Specialty Markets, therapeutic areas with high unmet needs, while working with a cross-functional team to build a new business in Canada. Responsibilities: Involved in the development of marketing projects for RADICAVA® (edaravone) in Canada. Execute project plans seamlessly to meet or exceed project objectives. Types of projects may include but not limited to the following: national/global conference plan development and execution, direct-to-patient disease multi-channel marketing strategy, advisory board meeting planning, and assessing internal processes and creating efficiency solutions. Work directly with vendors to write project plans and budgets sensitive to budget projections. Work with cross functional teams to create effective, positive partnerships with peers and key internal/ external stakeholders and ensure alignment with key stakeholders. Leverage existing business knowledge from coursework to advance the company’s internal effectiveness and efficiency. Ensure that all activities are in compliance with all applicable policies and regulations. Perform company-specific and product-specific desktop research to further inform commercial assessments; support the development/analysis of tailored external market research through third parties. Final presentation will be given to senior leadership at MTP-CA highlighting key learnings and suggestions to improve future internships. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. Current pursuit of MBA or Graduate degree in progress. Strong demonstrated interest in pharmaceutical business or marketing. Understands fundamentals of product promotion and advertising. Recent relevant coursework related to marketing, pharmaceutical/healthcare business or advertising. Leads by example, displaying integrity, collaboration, accessibility, adaptability, sound judgment/decision making, and an entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented attitude. Demonstrates responsiveness, attention to detail, and follow-through coupled with ability to prioritize/multi-task effectively. Use analytical/strategic skills to synthesize complex information, distill critical insights to inform commercial assessments, and translate to tactical level. Outstanding business case development skills, financial acumen and budget management skills. Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills. Highly proficient in MS Office; skilled at using Excel to develop pharmaceutical/other product forecast models and quantitative analyses. Working knowledge and understanding of the Pharma industry, and related regulatory, commercialization and compliance requirements is preferred. Willingness to travel 20% domestically and internationally for business and project meetings as required.
