We are seeking a PhD level research scientist to join our team, to conduct medical imaging research for a broad range of applications in oncology imaging. The role will entail algorithm research and development to solve clinical problems, working with clinical collaborators to validate solutions, and participating in publications and IP protection. The role will fall within the Science and Medical Technology research group, which is at the heart of new developments within the company. Our research interests include registration, analysis of multi-modality imaging and advanced quantification of images. RESPONSIBILITIES Algorithm research and development Supporting external/clinical research collaborations Writing technical reports Participating in the build of an IP portfolio Publication of research results SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Essential Skills A PhD in numerical/scientific discipling Proven track record in research Excellent algorithmic implementation skills Capable of working both individually and within a team Excellent communication skills Advantageous Skills Knowledge of any of python/c++/java/matlab Experience with GPU programming Medical imaging Image registration Image segmentation Numerical optimisation techniques Oncology imaging Machine learning / Deep learning DICOM
