Café & Catering Assistants £8.75 per hour Part time hours available for daytime evening and weekend Place of Work: Hanger Farm Arts Centre Café, Totton, Furzey Gardens Tea Room & Gift Shop, Minstead, Minstead Lodge and Hospitality Events at Minstead Trust Minstead Trust, a leading learning disabilities charity based in the heart of the New Forest, is offering a fantastic opportunity for Café and Catering Assistants to work at Hanger Farm Arts Centre café Totton, Furzey Gardens Minstead and Minstead Trust’s Hospitality events department. The Trust is over thirty years old and has grown from humble beginnings to become an organisation of over 200 people delivering support to adults with wide-ranging needs across three counties. It’s a fantastically, warm place to work and the work we carry out here changes lives. Minstead Trust runs a number of social enterprises that provide both valuable income to the charity but also provides training and employment opportunities for people with learning disabilities. We are looking for a strong, customer-focused, self-starters, ideally with experience in the retail or hospitality sector with enthusiasm to grow the business. With experience in a customer–facing environment ideally in catering or hospitality, you will need to be hands on with a proactive approach to deliver a memorable service to our customers as well as confident to support someone with a learning disability to reach their full potential. As a Café and Catering Assistant you will be supported by a manager. In quieter times, you may be expected to work alone, serving customers, supporting the people with learning disabilities working in the cafe and generally carrying out roles related to the café gift shop and the events taking place in hospitality as required. You will need to be a team player within the wider Minstead Trust with a heart for care and training of people with learning disabilities, welcoming visitors to the Arts Centre and, at times, Furzey Gardens and support our values.
