Mold-Masters® is a world-leading supplier of hot runner technology and systems. We design, manufacture and support a full range of hot runner products that are used in the injection molding production of plastic products - from automotive to everyday consumer items. The Technical Support Representative located in Georgetown, ON is responsible for handling technical challenges related to the operation & maintenance of our hot runner products for our North American customer base. They will provide highly technical assistance to find the customer’s root cause - not just the symptom, determining the right solution, and closing the case with a satisfied customer on the hot runner and hot runner-related products. Responsibilities include: Full project responsibility for selected projects assigned to our Master Care team by the Technical Support Manager; Provide first-level technical support on operational or maintenance issues using documented procedures and available tools; Act independently to support customer needs that are technically and interpersonally complex in nature; Identify, diagnose, and resolve customer issues as related to the hot runner & observed in the molded plastic part or injection molding process; Advise/educate customers within procedural guidelines to ensure a complete solution to their technical or service questions; Handle all customer communication (oral and written) as necessary to ensure our clients are informed of our actions; Dispatch appropriate field service teams as necessary; Travel to the customer as determined necessary to better carry out technical problem identification and resolution; Initiate follow-through and follow-up actions; Recommend and carry-out any required commercial resolutions; Qualifications, Skills/ Experience; Minimum of five (5) years related work experience in the injection molding plastics industry. Accredited certification and or experience in one of the following professions would be well suited to this position; Mechanical Engineering or Plastics degree, Mold Maker, Injection Molding Specialist. Excellent English language communication skills (oral and written).
