OPPORTUNITY FOR RETIRED POLICE, CORRECTIONS AND/OR FORMER MILITARY POLICE This position is responsible for the development, assessment and operational oversight of safety measures and security devices throughout living units, school, and grounds. Has direct supervisory responsibility for Campus Support Crisis Response Team. Act as primary liaison to Nassau County 2nd Precinct Police. Promote consistency in emergency interventions to sustain and/or restore safety. Provide routine reports to senior management regarding security operations. Maintain compliance tracking and performance management systems to consistently monitor program outcomes. Develop and implement security policies and protocols. Also present safety and security training to employees and participate in safety investigations. This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor Degree min (Masters a +) along with 5+ years of related experience such as law enforcement, school safety, security management and/or security technology. Strong leadership, organizational, communication and analytic skills. Knowledge and commitment to best practice standards related to safety and security in congregate care settings strongly preferred. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to our various sites is necessary. This position is on call for emergencies. Salary Range $65,000 - $80,000/year
