About the program The Property & Procurement team is responsible for the maintenance and administration of assets and leases. The team is also responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of the organisation’s property strategy including individual short, medium and long-term asset plans. Planning and review of capital and minor works projects, facilities management, building compliance and management of the motor vehicle fleet. About the role The Facilities Manager is responsible for collaboratively coordinating and managing all facets of facility management for Melbourne City Mission (MCM). The position will be required to implement a planned, through life approach to facility management whilst coordinating and optimizing MCM’s approach to reactive maintenance as well as the planning of minor capital projects. Duties include but are not limited to: Manage and maintain effective facility management of MCM’s property portfolio Administer the allocation and coordination of maintenance requests Develop scope of works and plan and implement minor capital works projects Act as a property and procurement subject matter expert for the implementation of minor projects Skills & experience include but are not limited to: Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing multi sector portfolios Demonstrated background in facilities management Experience in facility management systems Experience in Essential Services Compliance Excellent attention to detail and time management skills, with the ability to deal with several matters and work to strict deadlines Strong technical understanding of building operations, technologies and services Advanced computer skills and proficiency in the full Microsoft suite Download position description for the full duties and key selection criteria.
