Website Content & Social Media Manager Reporting to: Head of Marketing Based: Glasgow The purpose of the role is to boost the company’s digital presence within the café market and to drive a significant increase in relevant B2B leads. The role includes line management responsibility for the Digital Marketing Executive and their eCommerce objectives. The role has been created as part of a broader, exciting new marketing strategy for 2020 and beyond. Specific responsibilities will include: Lead Generation & Content Strategy - Development and delivery of the lead generation and content strategy - aligned to Brand Marketing and Sales Channels objectives Analysis and reporting on performance (against plan and against competitors) Management of the UK corporate website (matthewalgie.com) launch and maintenance of our new corporate website On-page edits within the CMS agency management and liaison for broader development work (within agreed budgets) Keyword research and website optimisation to fulfil SEO purposes Delivery of a rich stream of blog post, newsletter, press release and whitepaper content Working with our in-house Brand/Design team and agencies to create engaging media to be used across all digital communication channels Social Media Management (Matthew Algie) Development and delivery of Matthew Algie’s social media strategy – aligned to Brand Marketing and Sales Channels objectives Creating, executing, testing and refining social media campaigns across key channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube) Growing the number of engaged fans, followers and subscribers for each Social channel via paid and organic campaigns and creative ideas. Act as a Social Media Advocate and brand guardian, providing social media guidance/ knowledge to the wider team as required Responsibility for Community engagement, including reply management process Email- Marketing management (Matthew Algie) creating and delivering an email marketing strategy and calendar aligned to Brand Marketing & Sales Channels objectives refinement and growth of email databases (with GDPR compliance) Line Management - Day-to-day management of the Digital Marketing Executive, whose remit is to deliver the sales plan on both our eCommerce websites - blaknektar.coffee and espressowarehouse.com. (E-commerce expertise being accessible across the group.) Experience Essential: Proven and measurable experience in: Digital Content creation and management high quality (research based) copy-writing B2B lead generation techniques including paid media & SEO Multi-channel social media management (including Linked-In as a tool for B2B lead generation) Email marketing for B2B and B2C audiences Google Analytics and digital reporting tools Budget management & agency management Desirable: Videography and video editing experience Photography and image editing experience Experience with Wordpress and/or Magento or similar E-commerce management Line management Skills / Knowledge Well-read on digital marketing trends and techniques & proactive in imparting such knowledge Investigative and tenacious – able to pull a compelling story together from multiple sources Outstanding copy-writing skills, suited to any given context Knowledgeable in B2B online lead generation techniques (SEO, Paid Search etc) Working knowledge of website content management systems, e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, email marketing tools, and social media platforms Budget management and agency management skills Ability to analyse and interpret data Solid commercial understanding and evaluation skills Able to multitask and work to multiple deadlines Excellent organisational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment Personal Attributes A self-starter who will get on with the job (while aligning to company policies and brand values) Great interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and engage others A natural innovator and creative thinker A flair for writing engaging and insightful content in multiple contexts (e-blasts, blogs, websites, e-zines, white papers) An eye for design and on-page impact Investigative and quick to learn and become an expert in their field Target driven & enjoys a challenge Works well with others across multiple functions Confident and comfortable working individually or as part of a team Positive and proactive Embraces continual learning and development Shows passion for their subject matter (digital marketing, coffee etc) Solution-finding/out-of-the-box thinker
