By joining Development University, you will design, develop, and deliver strategically-aligned learning and development programs for the MathWorks Development Organization. Technical and domain expertise would include, but is not limited to: technical computing, MATLAB, Math as well as general tools and best practices in software application. Responsibilities Uncover and analyze learning needs within area of specialization through partnerships with relevant staff. Work with senior leaders to identify issues and opportunities related to supporting our teams. Develop clear, well-scoped problem statements and drive related projects to completion. Design, curate, develop, and implement learning solutions aligned with business priorities and initiatives. This includes creating self-serve learning resources, blended learning solutions, instructor-led, and eLearning offerings. Provide coaching and consulting on curriculum/training design and development and build long-term business relationships with various groups within the organization. Manage organizational knowledge by identifying internal experts whose knowledge and skill can be leveraged by others. Work with them to find ways to share their expertise effectively, including coaching them to develop and deliver learning resources. Teach and facilitate formal classes, informal groups, and events as required specifically in the areas of MATLAB, Math to the Engineering Development Group and Development organization. When sufficient expertise is not available in-house, work with subject-matter-experts from other internal teams. Measure and document the transfer of knowledge and associated impact via key performance indicators and Kirkpatrick evaluation models. Identify internal experts and ensure key knowledge is captured and shared. Continuously review, catalog and promote user-created documentation and resources. Facilitate and grow internal communities of practice. Minimum Qualifications A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree) is required. Additional Qualifications Knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink as applied to engineering problems and processes Experience with C, C++, or Java programming Demonstrated ability to perform modeling and simulation tasks Exceptional communication skills including clear and concise writing, an engaging presentation style and strong group facilitation skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and roles to get results and build strong relationships. Ability to balance needs of a large number of concurrent projects.
