It makes our work challenging, interesting, fun and above all rewarding. We’re now recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer to join the team in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. You will have manufacturing assembly experience and proven abilities showing responsibility for the quality of incoming and outgoing products, ensuring they all meet the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities Include: Inspect/approve incoming/outgoing materials Conduct visual/measurement checks Identify non-conformities and root causes Reject and return unacceptable materials/components Approve finished goods Return products for rework Complete quality documentation/PDI Ensure measurement equipment is operational/calibration requirements Escalate concerns accordingly Conform to Health & Safety requirements Attributes and Skills Manufacturing assembly experience Previously worked in manufacturing/mechanical engineering environment Experience of conformity to engineering drawings/quality control plans. Ability to read and understand drawings Proven skills using measuring devices such as meters, gauges, callipers and other similar devices Able to create quality control plans Work well with others including good listening/questioning skills Excellent verbal/written communications skills Works well to deadlines with ability to remain calm in stressful situations Ability to handle physical workload Flexible/willing to learn Reporting and analytical skills (desirable) Good IT skills including Sage ERP, Microsoft Work and Excel We look for individuals who share our positive outlook and can thrive in an environment where mutual respect, trust and open communication all flourish.
