POSITION PURPOSE: To process and analyze financial transactions in accordance with the company’s mission and philosophy. ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS: Analyze general ledger accounts and transactions. Process check requests, garnishments, payroll tax reports, invoices, billings, misc. payments etc., with efficiency and accuracy, ensuring all appropriate approvals have been received. Reconcile, balance, and analyze general ledger accounts for reliability. Assist in the monthly general ledger closings. Answering questions and/or obtain additional information from internal and external customers regarding purchases. PERIODIC OR SECONDARY POSITION FUNCTIONS: Assists in processing bi-weekly payroll and company payroll related data. Provide backup assistance to other clerk functions as necessary. Maintain a working knowledge of financial statements and reports. Assist in audits as necessary. COMPETENCIES: Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially in using Excel spreadsheets. Ability to be 100% confidential; including, but not limited to the sharing or release of information within the finance department and/or any co-worker who doesn’t have clearance. Excellent communication, both written and verbal. Strong interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate Degree in Accounting, or the equivalent in experience, is required. A minimum of three years of relevant experience in accounting is required.
