The Project Finance Manager (PFM) is responsible for supporting the execution of all MasTec Canada projects. This includes supporting estimating, budget and forecast management, cost control and reporting. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Work daily to monitor and bring transparency to project costs and performance Own the percentage of completion calculations for each project Participate in process improvement processes with the Project Managers Lead the compilation and analysis of monthly project performance in order to ensure financial reporting occurs in a timely and accurate manner Own the monthly forecasting and annual operating budget process for project delivery Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with MasTec’s procedures Partner with the Controller’s organization to ensure that projects are properly reflected in the financials Work closely with IT to ensure that the financial systems are optimized for project execution and control Ability to work in an unstructured environment Ability to become a trusted business partner to the Project Managers and Project Management Office EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline Charted Professional Accountant (CPA) designation Minimum 5 years accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role Formal leadership experience an asset Strong interpersonal and communication skills Impeccable analytical and organizational skills Self-motivated and self-directed Ability to “roll up the sleeves” attitude and get into the details Experience in large construction project execution KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for promoting and living out MasTec Canada’s Core Values.
