The Production Technician is responsible for all aspects of operating and maintaining the router and plotter equipment. The Technician must route digital prints and is responsible for setting up the equipment for compliance to order and project specification. The Technician must also proofread signs and conduct quality assurance to ensure the efficient production of high quality, accurate signs. POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Meet production requirements for multiple routing devices. Manage workflow to meet customer deadlines in a fast-paced job shop environment. Follow written layout instructions and guides to properly feed material and design requirements in the equipment program or software. Perform quality assurance measures pre and post-routing by accurately reading and interpreting a work order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards Inspect finished products for quality to ensure that required products are manufactured as per the project requirements and specifications Report inventory levels and stock reorder needs to the manager as needed. Help unload and store raw materials, clean and maintain storage areas. Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot and perform minor repairs when necessary Maintain production rate consistency; meet or exceed established minimum production rates. Work on different projects simultaneously. Comply with relevant occupational health and safety requirements Keep the production area neat, clean and organized. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: Diploma, 'O' level or equivalent Minimum of 12 months of previous experience in handling routing equipment Related manufacturing experience is an advantage Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work most of the shift on feet Technical skills related to basic equipment maintenance required. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $1,800.00 to $2,200.00 /month Experience: manufacturing : 1 year (Preferred) router equipment: 1 year (Preferred)
