OVERVIEW: The individual in the HR Administrator position will provide administrative support to the HR department working in our Gardiner, ME offices and will be responsible for reviewing and optimizing HR processes to ensure customer service and create efficiencies. Seeking a strong HR Administrator with 3 to 5 years’ experience, and great organizational, computer, and communications skills, able to work in a varied, fast-paced environment. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for all administrative functions supporting the HR department Conduct Orientation, including E-Verify, set up new hires, coordinate with payroll Benefits enrollment and administration, including Health, Dental, Vision, FSA, Ancillary Benefits and, COBRA. Work closely with bank to set up new accounts for Health Savings Account, and work with Payroll to set up deductions and track and submit monthly employer contributions. Answer employee questions about coverage; act as a liaison between employees and benefit vendors Coordination of daily benefits processing. Handle enrollments, terminations, COBRA and Qualifying Events Work closely with finance on monthly reconciliations of benefits Perform audits to ensure accuracy of employee benefits Administration and tracking of the company’s wellness program Provide training and support to employees regarding their benefit selections. Run reports and complete annual renewal census for vendors and third-party administrators Submit annual EEO-1 and Vets 4212 Administer FMLA in accordance with Federal and State laws Administer employee disability leave claims Extract data from HRIS system to complete mandatory state and federal surveys Assist HR team in pulling data for monthly/quarterly and annual metrics Ad-hoc reporting for the various company divisions/departments Maintain personnel files and other HR files in compliance with file retention requirements Departmental metrics reporting Benefits reconciliation Enter job title changes, pay changes, status changes, etc. Update HR sections of intranet Assemble and distribute employee benefits information Direct calls to appropriate resource as needed Document processes for training and back up purposes Terminate employees in system Develop presentation materials in support of employee communications Other Duties As Assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Two-year degree and 3 to 5 years’ experience working as Human Resources Administrator. Candidates with Benefits Administration experience preferred. Local candidates preferred, this position does not include relocation. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES: Strong experience with HRIS and other HR software systems Strong MS Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
