Job Responsibilities: Handle insurance, customs, permits, weights, dimensions, cargo, and other regulatory requirements, especially when moving across country borders. Determine efficient and cost-effective methods of moving bulk goods from one location to another. Set logistic plans that meet customer and delivery requirements. Research routes, rates, and carriers. Select routes based on the nature of bulk goods, transit times, or security needs. Calculate weight, volume, or cost of bulk goods to be moved. Arrange delivery and/or storage of bulk goods at destinations. Ensure consistent policies and practices are in place. Conduct real-time tracking, maintaining effective internal and external communication. Keep records of bulk goods dispatched and received. Collect and analyze data for improvement. Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations, and other factors that could affect logistics. Negotiate rates with carriers. Qualify and select carriers based on company policy. Ensure timely and effective resolution of issues, if they occur (delays, damage, et al.). Participate in training and development activities. Other related duties as required. Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Required: Freight Forwarding or Logistics experience. Post-secondary education, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, business, or related field. Or equivalent experience. Able to work overtime and/or outside of regular working hours, accommodate a flexible schedule, and travel to meet the needs of the business. Legally eligible to work in Canada. Looking For: Excellent interpersonal, coordination, and organizational abilities with a high attention to detail. Effective and clear communication. Experience with research and negotiation. Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software programs quickly. Customer service focused. Solution-driven. Works well in a team and has an aptitude for coordinating with others. Ability to cope well with pressure and work to deadlines. Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and possess a high level of professionalism. High degree of flexibility and adaptable to changing priorities. Assets: SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional Designation) or similar designation. CIFFA (Certificate in International Freight Forwarding). Oil and gas services experience and industry knowledge. Working knowledge of Hours of Service regulations. **Please note that this position will remain open until a successful candidate is found.
