The Feature Team Lead is the technical anchor of the team and is responsible for driving the team towards the successful technical delivery of features. You will be involved in upcoming-feature related discussions that would become a distraction to the wider team. In this challenging role you will be responsible for setting the technical vision and approach for the feature development and will become the go-to person for issues related to a specific set of features. You will be working as a key member within a highly agile environment delivering business value through an API centric microservices architecture. You will be expected to work hand in hand with product delivery leads, product owners, and engineers to identify and realise engineering solutions to enable increased efficiency across the full development, delivery and support lifecycle. This include developer tooling, delivery automation tooling and tooling enabling a ‘stop the line’ culture (dash boarding / monitoring / chat channel bots). Who we are looking for: Skills: Manages the technical portfolio of work or functional area, including leading and developing personnel Evaluates new technologies/trends and recommends changes to drive continuous quality improvement Implements the organisation’s IT policies and procedures Carries out risk assessment and management You will require excellent verbal communication skills; able to articulate clearly to technical team members during agile ceremonies and to work with product owners and product delivery leads in the elaboration of user stories Technical Background: You should have worked in a similar environment and have a full appreciation of the agile and DevOps (cultural and technology) ways of working. Agile software development experience DevOps software lifecycle experience Fast turnaround delivery – including shippable product sprint delivery Service orientated and microservice architecture Appreciation of the importance of coherent software architecture and design Good build tooling experience (e.g. Maven) Container tooling, eg Docker Kubernetes Excellent experience of continual delivery pipeline tools (Jenkins, Nexus, Git, Ansible, Azure DevOps) Good critical reasoning and problem-solving skills A benefit if you are an active contributor to open source projects Reference ID: 62655454 Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
