Mackenzie Stuart is delighted to announce that we have partnered exclusively with an international, privately-owned manufacturer of Advanced Ceramic Materials based in Southern Austria. Due to rapid and consistent business growth, we are currently recruiting for a R&D Manager to help drive and manage the current growth phase. The Advanced Ceramic Materials unit specialises in the development and production of ceramic powders with high-performance applications such as thermal barrier coatings, bio-ceramics and electro-ceramics. Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to: Lead and manage a team of ~20 R&D Engineers & Technicians Lead R&D projects, from theory through to production Define & implement new competitive product development roadmap Administer €3M-€4M R&D budget whilst effectively managing costs Management of patented technologies To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements: Must be located in or willing to relocate to Southern Austria Must hold a university degree, preferably in material science or inorganic chemistry Minimum 10 years’ experience in the chemical industry, preferably in the field of advanced ceramic materials 5 years management experience Proven track record of successfully managing R&D projects Proven record in preparing strategy & technical roadmaps Excellent written and spoken English, knowledge German preferable The expected salary for this role would be in the region of €80,000 – €90,000 plus bonus and additional benefits.
