For our Simulation & Test Systems Business Unit we are looking for a: Application Engineering Manager The function: The Moog B.V. Application Engineers are a highly customer focused group of engineers that are responsible for the customization, commissioning and tuning of Test and Simulation products. They are product experts that act as Moog’s customer interface gathering customer requirements and implementing them in order to meet customer expectations. The Application Engineering Manager is responsible for: Leading, organizing and prioritizing the work for a group of appr. 10 Application Engineers. Organizing interfaces between the Application Engineering and other Engineering groups. Manage engineering processes through the whole life cycle of a customer project – from engineering support for quoting to solution development and some aftersales support. Manage product improvements and, on a smaller scale, new product introduction. With the Software Manager, the System Engineering Manager, Mechanical Engineering Manager, the Application Engineer manager is a member of the Engineering management team that organizes and improves engineering activities and best practices within the engineering teams on a daily basis. The Application Engineering Manager takes a strong role in develop the engineering skills of his/her group. The ideal candidate has: An Engineering degree with 7 years of postgraduate experience of working with complex systems in a relevant field. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing and mentoring a group of engineers. Process minded, with a structured analytical and disciplined approach to work and solving problems. Understand the role and content of other disciplines on the performance of the system Ability to deal with structuring/prioritizing within a highly dynamic environment Good interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization. Willingness to work in a global organization with colleagues around the world. Good level of spoken and written English. German is a clear advantage. Location of organization: The function is located in Nieuw-Vennep, willingness to travel globally on a regularly basis. Reporting line: The candidate will report directly to the Global Engineering Director Test and Simulation. What do we offer?
