The defining characteristic is as follows: Deep understanding of United States Marine Corps (USMC) organization and headquarters staff operation. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and align staff efforts on complex topics within and across the Marine Corps, Navy, and DOD. Recognize challenges, develop alternative solutions, and coordinate execution and implementation efforts. Ability to understand the details of complex issues, develop concise solutions, and align supporting efforts at the action officer and executive levels. Ability to distill complex issues into clear, cogent executive communications. Your key responsibilities: The nature of this role means that you will be a primary day-to-day contact for our USMC clients. That means you will develop your knowledge by learning about current issues, professional, and business developments relevant to the DoN, so we'll look to you to build relationships and expertise with team members. Skills and attributes for success: Recognize process issues or unusual relationships from analysis of logistics and supply chain processes and communicate them Clearly document the execution of specific business procedures as defined by the engagement objectives, Navy/Marine Corps engagement history, and planned assessment approach Challenge procedures used in the past and attempt to enhance internal controls techniques Demonstrate professionalism and competence in the Federal environment Maintain a strong client focus, be responsive to client requests, and develop/maintain productive working relationships with client personnel Stay informed of current DoD/Navy/USMC developments relevant to the mission Collaborate with team members to set goals and responsibilities Contribute ideas/opinions to the teams and listen/respond to other team members' views Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with assurance team members, and enhance service delivery Bring potential opportunities to the team's attention To qualify for the role you must have: 5+ years experience with USMC Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and GCSS-MC. Expertise with the following systems is preferred: DPAS, WebFLIS, PIEE (formerly WAWF), DLA-DS, WebSDR, TFSMS, SABRS. Optional systems experience includes: WEBVLIPS, G-Invoicing, EEBP, SMARTS, FedMall. Extensive experience with MS Excel, MS Word, MS SharePoint (optional). Ability to craft naval correspondence is also preferred (e.g., Naval Messages, DoN TRACKER tasks, etc.). Excellent project management skills Advanced written and verbal communication skills Dedication to teamwork and leadership SECRET Clearance Preferred qualifications: 12+ years uniformed experience within Marine Corps logistics and supply chain Comparable experience across the Military Departments / Services PMP is a plus What we look for: We're interested in versatile people with the ability to take on new responsibilities and listen to clients to get things done.
