Rotating Shifts (Days & Nights) Luxus Limited is at the leading edge of technical innovation in plastic compounding. Specialising in the supply of thermoplastic compounds, based upon prime and/or recycled feedstocks, our purpose built Technical Development Centre is key to both our own and our customer’s ongoing success. We require additional resource in our Laboratory. We are seeking a self-motivated, team player who has a passion for solving problems. The position would suit someone who is looking to progress their career in an exciting and rapidly expanding technical plastics processing business. We are seeking someone who will work closely with our experienced, dedicated staff, to maintain our status as a World Class Company. If you have experience of polymer characterization, formulation or processing, lean manufacturing theory and practice this would be of advantage. Responsibilities will include: Producing mini trial batches prior to release to our production machines Ensuring we maximise the potential of our materials to the best economic and reputational advantage of our company. Testing production material to customer specification. Getting involved in process improvement projects, reducing costs and increasing yield, whilst maintaining quality. Good colour vision is essential due to the nature of the product. The role will also involve some materials handling and lifting. Applicants must be flexible and able to commit to a shift pattern of Friday – Sunday, 2 x weeks of days (6am – 6pm), followed by 2 x weeks of nights (6pm – 6am). Please note: the successful candidate may need to undertake the initial Training program on Day Shifts but this will be confirmed.
