We are currently looking for a Healthcare Communications Manager to join the Medical and Regulatory Affairs team. This position is temporary full-time for a 13-month period and is located at our Head-Office in Saint-Laurent, QC. The employee will report to the Director, Healthcare Communications. Your Position: The Healthcare Communications (HC) Manager, reports to the Director of Healthcare Communications Department and is responsible for developing learning programs (CHE & OLA) for Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) as well as leading the advisory board activities of the brand (s) on a national level. The HC manager is assigned a leadership role with regards to learning activities for HCPs on specific therapeutic areas within the Medical & Regulatory Affairs department and will play a central role in the brand team (s); the Director of Healthcare Communications will assign brand(s) /therapeutic area(s)responsibility at his/her discretion. The HC Manager also supports the identification and development of medical experts and manages national congresses sponsorship opportunities associated with the respective brand (s)/therapeutic area (s). The HC Manager must have excellent communication skills, a strong knowledge base of CHE principles and practices and must work effectively in a team environment. The safety of our patients: You are expected to immediately forward any reports of adverse events or special situations on our products as well as any product complaints and counterfeit or suspected counterfeit medicine to Medical Information and Pharmacovigilance ([email removed]) as per training on current procedures. Development of Learning/CHE strategies and programs for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder (50%) Work closely with Product Managers and extended Brand Team to define learning strategies and tactics in support of a specific therapeutic area (s) Develop learning plan and programs for each therapeutic area (s) to ensure knowledge transfer to healthcare professionals participating in learning sessions. Ensure appropriate understanding and training of Healthcare Communications Specialists on national programs to optimize field implementation. Develop learning activity field based materials and ensure adequate training of sales representatives for effective implementation of the programs. Select, brief, monitor and manage suppliers contracted to provide services. Manage approved HC budget for specific brand. Stakeholder’s relationship, sponsorships and congress (15%) Ensure relationship with selected key organizations in education in order to leverage opportunities in scientific congresses and medical associations activities. Supervise content development and logistics around Alliance schizophrenia and bipolar disorder supported symposia and conferences. Manage sponsorship requests associated with a specific brand. Medical Experts Development for each brand (20%) Ongoing development of medical experts identified for a specific therapeutic area. Leverage development of advocacy with national medical experts’ through educational program content development, symposia, and involvement in national advisory boards. Lead the development of the medical expert’s engagement plan with the brand (s) team and the extended team. Communications (15%) Promote clear and effective communications with all internal stakeholders for Lundbeck and the Alliance brands. Ensure clear direction in project management with appointed vendors leading to alignment of program content with brand (s) strategy. Establish and on-going dialogue with the field personal (HCS, MSL, Representatives and others) to ensure clear understanding and programs by in. Position Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences or equivalent. Minimum of two (2) years of experience within the Canadian pharmaceutical industry combined to two (2) years in a Continuing Health Education (CHE) position. Knowledge and expertise in psychiatry and neurology. High proficiency in commonly used PC computer software. Bilingualism (French & English), oral and written.
