Lorvale Academy (formerly known as Aims High School) is aprivate high school located in Toronto offering full time and part time studies for grade 9-12. We are looking for full-time and part-time teachers across all subject areas. Requirements: ** Dependable, organized, punctual, patient and passionate about helping students achieve full potential Knowledge with the Ontario Ministry of Education's Curriculum Ability to create customized learning plans to meet individual learning goals Ability and willingness to learn new knowledge and tools OCT certification preferred Minimum one year teaching experience Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening or willingness to obtain one Responsibilities: ** Create and prepare grade appropriate subject lesson plan Deliver the lesson plan in an engaging and inspiring way Evaluate student assignments Periodically evaluate and communicate the progress of the students to center officers and parents Actively participate in staff meetings Willingness to assist in planning/implementing of special events and promotional activities for the center Willingness to cover other teachers as required Benefits and Perks: ** Competitive hourly rates Flexible working hours Supportive environment Overseas development opportunities Job Type: Full-time Salary: $25.00 to $50.00 /hour Experience: teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
