About the job This is an exciting opportunity to join a small team of Administrators whose role is to provide a skilled and flexible support service to a range of service areas across the Council. We are currently looking for someone to join our team based at Heathrow Airport supporting Hillingdon’s Imported Foods Team. The role will involve supporting a team of Environmental Health Officers, Technical Staff and Veterinary staff carrying out all aspects of imported food control and environmental health functions. You will have direct contact with Importers and other professionals, be responsible for processing invoices and payments, completing all necessary paperwork associated with the tasks, processing orders and liaising with suppliers. About the person We are looking for an organised, self-motivated and flexible candidate with excellent administrative and IT skills, including Word and Excel. You should be able to work within a team in a busy office environment using a positive attitude to ensure tasks are completed to deadlines. You will be capable of learning a variety of new systems and procedures. By utilising your current skills and flexible attitude, you will be able to complete complex and routine tasks with minimal supervision. You will have the ability to manage high volumes of work effectively and accurately, and to deal with routine matters on your own initiative within deadlines.
