Job Description We are seeking an independent self-starter with hands-on experience in the manufacturing environment. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for implementing and sustaining product quality, process design, production efficiency, supplier support, driving product cost reduction and product consistency. Experience in a fast-paced early stage production environment is preferred. Responsibilities: Drive production and quality excellence for assigned product area. Support in house production and contract manufacturing model. Run and gauge capacity analysis. Set manufacturing KPIs and create reporting mechanism to track results. Design and implement tooling and fixtures to support assembly and process control. Create value stream maps for key processes and identify operational/technical risks. Identify design for X opportunities and perform cost/benefit analysis. Draft and maintain process documentation. Lead technical root cause for non-conformance. Travel domestically to provide support where needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering (ME, MFG, or IE preferred). 2+ years related product-based electromechanical experience. Skilled in CAD applications, solid model creation, and drawing interpretation. Passion for manufacturing and continuous improvement. Skills to analyze and resolve production assembly problems. Experience with production best practices such as LEAN, 5S and Six Sigma. Expertise with PLM and overall configuration controls. Experience as technical interface with production contract manufacturers. Experience with sheet metal production and qualifying cast/mold tools. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
