We are looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for the design, project management, and customer support functions for industrial test equipment. Main Responsibilities: Designs mechanical systems and products by applying the principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials engineering Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods and assisting in testing finished-products Develops mechanical systems by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling and installing components Works with customers to establish product requirements within specification parameters and on budget Selects components based on design specifications and company best practices Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations Confirms fabrication, assembly, and installation processes match design Completes projects by training and guiding technicians Reviews project results and revises design documents based on as built revisions Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Working knowledge and understanding of the basic principles, theories, concepts, and practices in the applicable area of engineering/technical specialization. Analytical-Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and procedures. Design-Generates creative solutions; Translates concepts and information into images; Uses feedback to modify designs; Applies design principles; Demonstrates attention to detail. Problem Solving-Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics. Project Management-Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time and budget; Manages project team activities.
