We are looking to recruit a Driver / Relief Warehouse Operative to provide an effective delivery service / relief warehouse duties for Lindab business in the Cardiff branch & sales area. Utilising the Company’s Mercedes Sprinter type vehicle or similar, the primary duty will be the accurate delivery (and on occasions the collection) of goods, working in conjunction with your Branch Manager to ensure the efficient and cost effective transportation of sales orders. Duties include: Delivering all dispatched goods, checking items for accuracy, quantity and quality, assisting with the loading/offloading of the vehicle, ensuring safe-loading and as required and directed, picking own loads, Maintaining the vehicle in good order, carrying out checks, general maintenance and cleaning, Complying with all driving legislation, Health & Safety processes and inspection/ recording requirements, Providing relief support with warehouse operations Any other such duties as may be required to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the branch. The suitable candidate will have: Experience of working in a similar driving role and / or warehouse environment, Industry / product knowledge (preferable but not essential), An NVQ 2 in Carry and Delivery of Goods (would be an advantage), A full clean UK driving licence and have good knowledge of local and surrounding area, Forklift Truck experience- Reach Truck, - Must have valid licence and provide if called up for interview. * Good communication skills both verbal and written, The ability to follow instructions, to work under pressure and to meet deadlines, Ability to work effectively as a part of a team but also independently, Good housekeeping skills, To be self-motivated, proactive, accurate, flexible and willing to learn new skills Would be advantageous to have EFAW Certificate or Fire Warden training Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Experience: similar industry: 5 years (Required) Driver/Warehouse: 5 years (Required) Location: Cardiff CF3 (Required) Licence: Valid Forklift both counterbalance and Reach (Required)
