About the Opportunity The Think Wellbeing Centre at Fitzroy campus is a multi-disciplinary teaching clinic for Southern School of Natural Therapies SSNT students during their studies and sits within Laureate Australia. Open to the general public, as well as SSNT students and staff, appointments are supervised by qualified and experienced practitioners to ensure clients receive quality healthcare and service. Our range of treatments combine a health science approach with complementary medicine, to help enhance and maintain whole-person wellbeing. Treatments include Chinese Medicine, Naturopathy, Clinical Myotherapy, Acupuncture and Nutritional Medicine. Due to growth in the organisation we are currently seeking an experienced Clinic Receptionist to join our tight knit team providing professional and friendly reception and administration services to the student practitioners, clinic clients, and academic supervisors. As the Clinic Receptionist you will excel in customer service, have a friendly positive attitude and be able to respond promptly to queries with sound judgement and a kind nature. You will be a team player with the ability to also work independently and on your own at times. Reporting to the Clinic Manager, you will be responsible for: Provide outstanding customer service face to face and via email and telephone to patients, students, supervisors and practitioners in the Clinic Managing patient enquiries, including describing services and making appointments Ensuring the clinic is opened and closed for business daily, the waiting room and reception areas are neat, tidy and appropriately stocked Entering and maintaining correct patient records in relevant databases Ensuring accurate scheduling of new and return appointments Accurately process payments from patients into the point of sale (POS) system. There is a casual position 2 days a week based in our Clinic at Fitzroy Campus, Melbourne Skills and Experience To be successful in the Clinic Receptionist position you will possess: Minimum 1 years’ experience working in a medical or allied health reception role Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and ability to relate to other people and to work co-operatively as a member of a team Able to exercise judgment and problem solve effectively when faced with difficult patients/situations Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to respond appropriately to customer enquiries Strong administrative and organisational skills with a high level attention to detail Experience in the field of natural therapies, allied health or complementary medicine education Cert 3 in Business Administration (Medical) is highly desirable for this role.
