POSITION SUMMARY The Landmark National Bank Commercial Banking Internship is a 12-month program designed to provide an intern with exposure to both retail (teller and treasury management) and commercial banking (business analytics and credit file risk management) functions. After a period of onboarding in both departments, an intern will then assist supervisors and mentors helping Landmark’s clients meet their various business and personal objectives. Tasks may include offering treasury management solutions, dissecting financial statements to identify trends, and meeting clients directly with mentor. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Ability to work in a positive and collaborative environment where multi-tasking, attention to detail and time management skills are essential Excellent written communication skills Completion of introductory accounting curriculum required A University School of Business who will be entering the senior year for the 2020 fall semester Qualifications ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Commercial Banking Prepare loan requests in accordance with all bank policies and regulatory requirements Execute daily loan transactions Direct customer support and other general administrative duties Understand and evaluate complex financial statements and tax returns Evaluate elements of credit risk Participate in commercial banker shadowing Retail Banking Complete new teller training Participate in customer visits (cash management) Shadow in teller and CSR areas Participate in sales meetings Participate in monthly compliance calls PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands listed below are a requirement to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
