Position Information Work Type: Active - Benefit Eligible and Accrues Time Off Exempt: Yes Work Schedule: Weekdays with Occasional Weekends Work Hours per Biweekly Pay Period: 80 Shift Time: Location: Medical Center, US:FL:Lakeland Position Summary Summary: This position is an operations management role responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Supply Distribution, Receiving and Mailroom functions. Manager, Logistics and Inventory Operations provides leadership to all aspects of inbound and outbound logistics for Lakeland Regional Health Systems. Manager is responsible for overseeing all supply chain operations within Central Supply including, but not limited to orders, distribution, and inventory location set up to decentralized departments. Must accurately provide inventory management while maintaining low inventory levels to meet budget requirements. Manager will also collaborate with Clinical Managers and Directors to validate clinical acceptance for product changes, product substitutions and new product introductions. Manager will maintain and update necessary functions in the Point Of Use System and Materials Management Information System relating to inventory management. Manager identifies and improves system efficiencies while resolving system and material issues. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and codes. Responsible for safety of main loading dock and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) operations. Standard Work: Manager, Logistics and Receiving Responsible for Central Supply system orders, back order tracking, par level supply distribution in a JIT environment. Responsible for setup, maintenance and distribution of materials at decentralized locations and respond to all product returns and recalls. Translates demand forecasts to maintain and ensure adequate supply levels and oversee accurate and timely distribution to decentralized units while minimizing inventory levels. Collaborates with clinical managers and directors to understand the materials needed for clinical processes to support product changes, product substitutions, and new product introductions while ensuring clinical acceptance is maintained. Works collaboratively within a leadership team to achieve division and organizational goals and objectives. Actively participates in Value Analysis activities for product evaluations and standardization opportunities Provides initial and on-going training to Supply Chain staff members and end-user departments on inventory, distribution and logistics processes. Coaches team leaders, direct reports and team members to create a productive work environment. Creates a high performing team by building strong relationships, mobilizing others to action and effectively leveraging the talent of the team. Manages staffing requirements and qualifications/competencies of staff and supervisors Manager organizes and monitors the receiving, storage and distribution of all items received from either suppliers or production shops, ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so parts and supplies are located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements. Responsible for managing and delivering results on all aspects of dock scheduling, receiving, processing, warehousing and delivery of daily supplies for LRH. Responsible for logistics of capital improvement projects and equipment leases entering LRH through the dock area. Uses effective problem solving and communication skills to coordinate with departments the arrival dates, shipment management, and storage activity of such items. Surplus equipment and supply management responsibilities to include coordinating with outside vendors and charitable organizations for the removal, disposal and/or sale of surplus equipment and supplies. Develops and maintains systems to manage inventory for Central Supply and end-user departments. Identifies opportunities to improve system efficiencies and resolves system and material issues. Performs all necessary functions associated with maintaining and updating the Supply Chain /Purchasing systems associated with Inventory Management including information validation, supply management, par stock and point of use system interface. Works in collaboration with Information Systems on software releases and development regarding Inventory Management modules. Oversees the Central Supply, Receiving and Mail Room activities and ensures fiscal management in these areas is performed satisfactorily. Point of contact for customer service issues related to inventory and logistics functions. Manages outsourced courier services contracted for LRHS. Communicates and manages compliance of hospital, departmental and regulatory agency policies and standards in a generative and concise manner. Qualifications & Experience Education: Essential: Bachelor Degree Nonessential: Master Degree Other information: Experience Essential: Minimum of five to seven years in a technical/professional role with increasing leadership responsibility. Three to five years of experience with product procurement, inventory management, and/or distribution. Certifications Preferred: CMRP; CPIM Powered Industrial Truck Training Certification
