Reporting to the IT Manager, the Intermediate IT Analyst is responsible for supporting and helping to maintain all aspects of the IT ecosystem at the LaPrairie Group of Companies. This role includes a mixture of user support in addition to supporting other systems, servers, and networks. Responsibilities: Provides second-tier technical support and assistance to local and remote staff with a variety of common day to day issues; Assists and provides backup for junior analysts with calls and tickets through the corporate help desk ticketing system; Deploys and maintains new server instances, supporting new IT initiatives and growing infrastructure; Triage server, networking, and application issues to find root causes and suggests or implements appropriate solutions; Supports common Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems (2012/2016/2019) Microsoft Office365 administration; Amazon AWS Administration Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP Administration; Network support and troubleshooting (WiFi, VPNs, etc); Researches and recommends new technology solutions to business problems; Reporting and trending on current IT related issues; After-hours on-call support rotation within the IT Team; Other duties and projects as assigned by the IT Manager; Occasional Travel to remote office locations ( <5%). Minimum qualifications: Bachelor or Associate degree, or post-secondary technology certificate 3-5 years industry experience in a desktop support and/or junior sysadmin role. Exemplary customer-service and troubleshooting skills Excellent written and verbal English communication skills Experience with a helpdesk ticketing system Experience with MS Exchange, SQL databases, Active Directory, Skype, and other common Microsoft stack technologies Experience with Amazon AWS/EC2 or comparable cloud technologies Experience with common basic networking technologies (VLANs, IPsec VPNs, etc)
