Our client has sites throughout the UK and is based near Newcastle. Working in a small friendly team and reporting to the HR Director, the Senior HR Advisor will manage the day to day HR operations. As well as providing an efficient and professional HR service to the business, you will also support the HR Director with varied project work. Duties and Responsibilities Work independently to manage casework – sickness absence, performance management, discipline and grievance – making recommendations and providing advice and support to management. Support managers in maintaining a stable and motivated workforce within a positive culture, including active involvement in engagement activities via employee forums. Contribute to the development and delivery of new HR projects and initiatives. Produce monthly and ad-hoc HR reports, statistics and analysis detailing absence, attrition etc. Analyse trends and implement solutions to address any issues identified. Support Regional Directors/Managers and the wider business with recruitment activity. Organise associate onboarding activities, new starter processes and systems access, supporting line managers with inductions. Work with the HR Assistant to maintain HR records and documentation for new starters (including temporary employees), leavers, maternity etc. Ensure that employee learning and development records are maintained and that refresher training is arranged via the HR Assistant and the Purchasing Department. Ensure payroll and pensions are processed on a monthly basis, with support from the HR Assistant. Skills and Competencies Previous experience in an HR Advisor role across multiple sitesWorking towards CIPD and have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within an HR Team at Advisor level, preferably within an engineering or manufacturing environment Knowledge of and previous experience using HR systems Knowledge and previous experience using and supporting payroll and pension processes is essential Competent in the use of all Microsoft office packages including word, excel and PowerPoint Successful candidates will show professionalism, reliability and confidentiality at the forefront of everything they do This role will include ad-hoc travel to locations across the UK You must be available with a maximum of 1 weeks notice.
