They are looking to add a highly motivated and detail-orientated individual to join as a legal structurer to their alternative investments structuring team focused on providing investment solutions to institutional and private banking clients. In this position you will be a part of a local and larger international team, covering a broad range of alternative asset classes (e.g. hedge funds, alternative risk premia, insurance-linked securities, private markets and multi-alternatives solutions) and various investment vehicles (mainly AIFs and UCITS). You will participate in the lifecycle management of investment programs, ensuring the on-time, high-quality execution of program launches, maintenance and restructurings. They expect that you will not only provide legal support as required but will assume a broader role in participating in and leading fund structuring projects, directly contributing to the development and strengthening of their program offering. Job specification: As a legal structurer, your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Taking responsibility for fund program launches, maintenance and restructurings, including solution development, drafting offering documentation, contract negotiation, preparation of board minutes and regulatory submissions; Maintaining an in depth knowledge of key legal and regulatory areas across a broad spectrum, from AIFMD, UCITS and other EU legislation, issues around the cross-border marketing of investment products, through to the regulatory environment, in order to ensure that existing platforms can respond quickly and pragmatically to new challenges or opportunities and new offerings can be provided accordingly; an excellent overall understanding of the international regulatory framework is available to maximise their responsiveness to client needs; and effective monitoring is carried out to safeguard ongoing compliance of investment offerings following establishment; Providing pragmatic solutions to a variety of legal questions such as corporate and contract law. Attributes required: Qualified Solicitor; Previous experience in financial services; In-depth understanding of relevant legislation, particularly AIFMD and UCITS; Solid academic background. Personal competencies: Strong project management, analytical and negotiation skills; Proactive, dynamic and results-oriented personality; Detail-oriented; high levels of accuracy in execution; Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; Creativity, ability to find solutions; A desire to learn about alternative investment markets and experience new challenges in investment solutions that will complement your legal expertise; Highly organised.
