As a member of the management team, the Vice President of Operations plays a key role in strategic planning and in helping shape the entire organization by participation in many cross-functional teams and projects. Responsibilities: Strategic Planning Assist and advise the Senior Management Team in all aspects of key decisions affecting strategic objectives, growth goals and infrastructure needs related to the Operations function at L2 Brands. Develop strategic plans for Operations that include the best utilization of personnel, equipment, facilities and outside resources to achieve best in class lead-times and delivery performance to maximize customer satisfaction. Provide strategic and tactical leadership to direct reports with indirect supervision of their teams in a manner that supports the Company’s culture, mission and Core Values. Manufacturing Oversee the daily workflow of all Production departments. Recruit, interview, hire and train management-level staff for all domestic Production departments. Provide constructive radical candor and timely performance evaluations. In conjunction with HR Department, handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with Company policies. Lead, develop, and mentor direct reports and theirs teams in managing, coordinating and problem solving related to all day-to-day operations. Plan monthly production goals and develop methods to measure performance to goals. In conjunction with EVP of Operations, measure and manage the utilization of assets (equipment, facilities and personnel) to maximize efficiency and ensure that service levels and optimal performance goals are met within budgeted cost, revenue and profit parameters. In conjunction with Human Resources & SVP Continuous Improvement, assist in the development of training materials to make L2’s onboarding and training programs best in class. This position, along with direct reports, are responsible for identifying ongoing training needs for all production employees. In conjunction with Director Social Compliance, SVP Continuous Improvement & Human Resources, ensure that L2 Brands’ manufacturing operations complies with the Fair Labor Association’s (FLA) sustainable compliance methodology. Budgeting In conjunction with EVP Operations & SVP Finance, develop an annual/monthly operating budget and manage a system of controls to measure results to budget and prior year results. Quality Control and Continuous Improvement Along with SVP Continuous Improvement, establish quality and quality control standards and ensure processes, systems and personnel are adhering to standards with the objective of maintaining scrap levels below 2%. In conjunction with SVP Continuous Improvement, provide support/direction for Continuous Improvement initiatives for all areas of production. Required Education/Experience/Skills: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and/or a minimum of 7 years equivalent work experience At least 5 years of experience in operations, distribution and or supply chain management with 3 years of increasingly responsible leadership roles LEAN manufacturing concepts, quality assurance, Six Sigma or similar experience or training a must Proficiency of MS Office suite Competencies: Strong supervisory and leadership skills Outstanding time management, good judgment and ability to manage multiple priorities/deadlines with a positive can-do attitude Extremely organized Excellent leadership; interpersonal; collaboration and verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with others at all levels within an organization Highly productive and a strong team player who works with a sense of urgency and hands-on approach A level of self-direction and self-motivation in aligning your personal actions and areas of responsibilities within the company and understanding their fit into the bigger picture Ability to cross boundaries within the organization to enhance your effectiveness and advance your objectives and achieve results The ability to quickly adapt to, be accepted by and inter-relate with colleagues at all levels, particularly in a company with a very strong and rich corporate culture An honest and forthright individual who is flexible, coachable, upfront and direct with direct reports, peers and management Strong understanding of products offered by L2 Brands Commitment to company vision/values/brand
