As a Junior Project Controls Administrator, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented accounting team in support of Klohn Crippen Berger’s Mining Environmental Group (“MEG”). Reporting to the Accounting Team Lead, you will be responsible for a variety of project and business unit accounting functions in collaboration with other members of the Finance and Accounting team, Project Managers, as well as regional Office Managers. This role will give you the opportunity to: Review, prepare and organize documentation for project and proposal setup Review RAC requirements and following through with the project manager Assist in formatting, preparing, issuing and printing monthly project monitoring reports Prepare weekly project budget reports and flag issues to the project manager Provide support to the project manager with project resource schedule, WIP and A/R status Validate and document project change requests terms and scope Assist with continuous improvements and execute changes on all aspects of project controls Undertake project accounting tasks as required Prepare and enter journal entries as required Review employee expense reports in Concur and vendor invoices for projects to ensure accuracy and comply with company guidelines Assist with client cash receipts Other duties as assigned We value your: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders Great problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently, effectively and accurately in a fast-paced environment Ability to multi-task and collaborate with other team members to meet deliverables and timelines Intermediate level experience with MS Office products including Excel, Word and Outlook Experience using project accounting systems such as BST Enterprise or similar ERP system Accounting experience an asset Previous project coordination experience with an engineering consulting company is an asset About Us: Klohn Crippen Berger (“KCB”) is a multi-disciplinary consulting firm providing engineering and environmental services in the mining, hydropower, transportation, ports, infrastructure, oil & gas, environmental, and water resources sectors.
