A well reputed organization in the pharmaceutical industry based in South Africa is actively recruiting for a Market Access Manager. The position will be providing strategic leadership across the business in respect to Government, Media, etc. to ensure meeting the company's strategic business goals and objectives. The main responsibilities will include: Leading the developing and implementing market access strategies supporting corporate business objectives, prioritizing areas with major impact on business performance in the Public sector Planning and managing strategic initiatives and engaging directly with relevant internal and external stakeholders Providing strategic and tactical support to the team on public sector and relevant private sector funder affairs, delivering an innovative best-in-industry service to support all areas of the business Developing and sustaining positive relationships and alliances with key external stakeholders such as Academia, public sector KOL’s and private funders Providing input regarding all price & therapeutic area-relevant reimbursement related requests Collecting and utilizing general and market access intelligence in order to identify trends and business opportunities To be successful you will need to meet the following: Candidates based in South Africa only Education: Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, or equivalent level of experience At least 2 years of Market Access experience within Pharma sector across private and public sector Proven track record of interpreting decision-making processes and proactively identifying and influencing key issues Excellent knowledge of the local healthcare system and its major players and decision-makers Demonstrable experience of implementing multiple projects Strong and demonstrated negotiation skills with external access stakeholders External multi-stakeholder mapping, action planning and engagement Performance driven Communicates effectively across all levels of the organization and externally If you are looking for an exciting and new challenge in a Senior leadership, please send your updated CV to explore this opportunity further.
