About Kids After Hours
A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away.... or really just in Burtonsville Maryland, Kids After Hours was started in 1989 at our Burtonsville Elementary school location with only 22 kids! From there we have spread to twenty-six locations throughout Maryland, and we have made a lot of changes over the years! Our main office went from being in the All Purpose Room closet of Burtonsville Elementary to our very own office in Wheaton (2122 W University Blvd). Our original system of storing payment information on Index cards morphed into a website with on-line payments and registration. But through all of these changes, we remain a “mom & pop business” with many of our own kids now working at Kids After Hours! We still choose our counselors with care, our cell numbers are available for your to call us directly, and we are always happy to meet and chat face-to-face!
